WALTER Fire Component

Many factors influence wildfire probability and related fire hazard. Some are environmental factors such as the vegetation type, moisture level of the fuels (how easily they will ignite and how fast they will burn), historical pattern of fires, and how often lightning strikes cause fires in different parts of each study area. Also important is the probability of human ignitions across the study area.
