Stakeholder Perspectives for Education
The usefulness of WALTER research and development is dependent on strong interaction with stakeholders. This suggests the need for a strong educational theme throughout the WALTER web site, as opposed to, for example, one dedicated section along side the research and model development pages. Our method for accomplishing this goal for the wide variety to stakeholder groups with direct interest in WALTER findings and products is the creation of Information Boxes that you will find on the righthand column of all WALTER web pages.
Information boxes create content-specific, thematic linkages across the structure of the web site. There are two approaches to these themes. Researchers and disciplines have an inside-out approach, as they develop and present specific content. Web site users, or stakeholders, take an outside-in approach, as they seek specific content.

This web page explains how we have segmented the "outside"- users into stakeholder groups. Each maintains the perspective of a specific stakeholder group, and as content is added to the WALTER site, more Information Boxes specifically tailored to each group will be generated.
