The effort to implement the Firewise
Communities/USA Recognition program in
Arizona is called “Arizona Firewise
Communities.” Tied to the national
program through the State Forester (via
the Arizona State Land Department’s State
Fire Assistance and Hazard
Mitigation Program) is being
implemented by a suite of government
agencies through coordination provided by
the Arizona Interagency Coordinating
Group (AICG).
